Learn and Play Pass scholarship program!
The Learn & Play Pass was founded in 1996 to ensure that all children in our community would be able to experience the Children's Museum. This fund provides free and subsidized admissions to economically challenged families, school and daycare groups. It is a policy of the Children's Museum that no one be denied admission for economic reasons. This fund is supported by foundations, corporations, organizations and individuals that recognize the fact that many of the underprivileged children in our area are not given the opportunity to take advantage of the educational and cultural resources available in our City. The Children's Museum allows children from diverse backgrounds to stretch their minds, bodies and imaginations in a safe environment. We hope to motivate children to reach beyond their circumstances.
SACM will reimburse schools visiting on a Learn & Play Pass for up to two busses per field trip, up to $150 per bus for groups funded by the Learn & Play Pass. Maximum transportation request is $300. Transportation costs are reimbursed after the group visits SACM and only when a reimbursement request is submitted to SACM within 30 days of the field trip. The San Antonio Children’s Museum is committed to meeting the needs of the San Antonio community by providing the Learn and Play Pass program as funding allows.
