The San Antonio Children’s Museum and community partners KRTU and ALAMO Music, celebrate the YEAR OF JAZZ in 2012. Each month, KRTU will offer a free concert for the community highlighting a local musician or group as well as a legendary jazz musician who contributed to the foundations of jazz music.
Here at SACM we’ve invited local musicians to join us once a month for a JAZZ JAM where our guest can learn about a particular instrument and a Jazz GREAT! Each month ALAMO music provides SACM with an instrument to display in Carmen’s Corner and sometimes the instrument to be played by our guest musician.
On the lower level of the museum, near the HEB exhibit, you will find a growing Jazz GREATS display! The beautiful posters on display have been created by KRTU intern, Rebecca Reinhardt. Please check the schedule below and join us for our NEXT Jazz Jam!
