Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday: Noon - 5 p.m.
The Museum is CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day. We are often busy with school group visits during the Fall and Spring. Please call ahead to confirm school groups are not visiting during your planned visit if you have small children who need a less busy environment.
ADMISSION
$8.00 for adults and children ages two and older
$1.00 off admission with valid Military ID
$1.00 off admission with valid Educator ID
Children younger than two are free
All children must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).
All adults must be accompanied by a child.

The Museum provides parking validation for one hour of free parking at the following lots. Guests must present their parking ticket at the Museum front desk to be validated.

Metered street parking is located around Travis Park, one block north of the Museum. |See Map
BUS PARKING
Buses must load and unload students in the public bus lane on Navarro Street just north of E. Houston Street.
After unloading, buses may park in the following locations::
- Under highway 37 & 281 at E. Houston Street. This is approximately eight blocks from the Museum.
- South side of the Municipal Auditorium located two blocks north of the SACM. Drivers are requested to park on the south side of the street and are required to remain with their bus as they may be asked to move.
- Metered street parking is located around Travis Park, one block north of the Museum. The cost is $7.00 for buses occupying a single space and $14.00 for buses occupying two spaces. Arrangements need to be made in advance on a first-come basis with of the Traffic Division at (210) 207-7755.
